First off I do not think, or believe that Russia would attack the United States with Nuclear weapons-namely Ballistic missiles. I do think that Russia would use tactical missiles in the Mid East conflict if deemed necessary in the proposed Sunni Turkey-Saudi Arabia conflict. This includes the 25 small states pledging Islamic subservience.
The likelihood of war in the Mid-East is quite possible. Currently Saudi Arabia and Turkey, with a total of 25 Arab nations, are banding together to attack Syrian Forces, principally around the city of Aleppo. This has been a stronghold of ISIS and Sunni control since 2011.
